tells the <strong>main action<\/strong> in the sentence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It shows <strong>what the subject does<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can stand <strong>alone<\/strong> in a <strong>Tense<\/strong> (past, present, future)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705 <strong>Mood<\/strong> (possibility, ability, permission)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705 <strong>Voice<\/strong> (active or were<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>have<\/strong> \u2192 has, have, had<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>do<\/strong> \u2192 do, does, did<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>modal verbs<\/strong> \u2192 can, could, will, that\u2019s the <strong>main verb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Look for <strong>words that come before it<\/strong> to help it \u2192 those are <strong>helping
