The perimeter<\/strong> is the total distance around a shape<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Think of it as the length of the boundary<\/strong> of a shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd3a Perimeter of a Triangle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add the lengths of all three sides<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formula: P = a + b + c<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example: If sides are 3 cm, 4 cm, 5 cm \u2192 P = 3 + 4 + 5 = 12 cm<\/strong> \u2705<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add all four sides or use the formula:
P = 2 \u00d7 (length + width)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example: Length = 6 cm, Width = 4 cm \u2192 P = 2 \u00d7 (6 + 4) = 20 cm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All sides are equal, so multiply one side by 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formula: P = 4 \u00d7 side<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example: Side = 5 cm \u2192 P = 4 \u00d7 5 = 20 cm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Called circumference<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formula: C = 2 \u00d7 \u03c0 \u00d7 r<\/strong> or C = \u03c0 \u00d7 d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example: Radius = 7 cm \u2192 C = 2 \u00d7 3.14 \u00d7 7 = 43.96 cm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
