Graph triangles and quadrilaterals
Key Notes :
- An ordered pair (x,y) tells you the location of a point on the coordinate plane.
- The x-coordinate tells you the horizontal position.
- The y-coordinate tells you the vertical position.
Learn with an example
🔮 Graph the triangle with vertices (4,3), (7,3) and (8,0)

- Sol: Graph the point (4,3). Start at (0, 0). Move 4 units right and 3 units up.

- To draw one side of the triangle, graph the point (7,3).

- To complete the triangle, graph the point (8,0).

🔮 Graph the triangle with vertices (5,2), (10,3) and (10,0).

- Graph the point (5,2). Start at (0, 0). Move 5 units right and 2 units up.

- To draw one side of the triangle, graph the point (10,3).

- To complete the triangle, graph the point (10,0).

🔮 Graph the triangle with vertices (1,5), (4,4) and (0,2).

- Graph the point (1,5). Start at (0, 0). Move 1 unit right and 5 units up.

- To draw one side of the triangle, graph the point (4,4).

- To complete the triangle, graph the point (0,2).
