Plural means more than one 👥 of a noun.

Singular = one 🐱 | Plural = many 🐱🐱🐱

🟢 Rule 1: Add -s

👉 For most nouns, just add -s.

📌 Example:

  • book → books 📚
  • dog → dogs 🐶

🟢 Rule 2: Add -es

👉 If a word ends with s, sh, ch, x, or z, add -es.

📌 Example:

  • bus → buses 🚌
  • box → boxes 📦
  • dish → dishes 🍽️

🟢 Rule 3: Change -y to -ies

👉 If a word ends with a consonant + y, change y → ies.

📌 Example:

  • baby → babies 👶
  • story → stories 📖

❗ If it ends with a vowel + y, just add -s.

  • toy → toys 🧸

🟢 Rule 4: Change -f or -fe → -ves

📌 Example:

  • leaf → leaves 🍃
