  • Regular Verbs: Follow a consistent pattern (e.g., walk → walked, jump → jumped).
  • Irregular Verbs: Do not follow the standard pattern (e.g., go → went, eat → ate).
  • Be: am/is/are → was/were
  • Begin: begin → began
  • Come: come → came
  • Do: do/does → did
  • Go: go → went
  • Have: have/has → had
  • See: see → saw
  • Take: take → took
  • Present Tense: I go to school every day.
  • Past Tense: I went to school yesterday.
  • Although irregular verbs don’t follow a single pattern, some groups of irregular verbs have similar changes (e.g., “sing” → “sang” and “ring” → “rang”).
